This is a great addition to my growing collection It gives you a brief history of rope bondage Goes over safely guidelines and the proper equipment to use I wouldn t try any rope or any kind of bondage without a pair EMT of bright the color EMT shears They cover it in the book I ordered a neon green pair from here on Just in case you re unable to un tie a knot and or undo a restraint you will be to quickly cut your partner free There are some great recommendations for other book in the back of this one If you re interested in learning Shibari I recommend taking a class in your local community Rope Bite is a reputable class As with everything trust consent and communication are key Use safe words properly Stay safe and have fun

Overall the information is useful and it s a decent intro to the art for those who want to dabble but not take it too seriously. Most bondage books have horribly lit, horribly posed photography This book takes the opposite approach to the extreme it s lit, posed, and styled like cheesy porn I guess I m going to have to shoot my own book someday.

We haven t finished reading the book yet, but it s already worth the purchase price My wife and I have dabbled with power exchange for many years, but we ve been missing some critical concepts The chapters on After Care, Communications and Safety are worth the price, all by themselves The photography is beautiful, and the reading style is similar to having a good friend explaining things to you.
