There aren t many books that I can barely wait to get my hands on as there is always enough to read.Begging For It by Lilah Pace had me impatient than a kid on Christmas morning. After reading Asking For It, I had to know how the story continues I was itching to find out what happens next, totally in awe of Lilah Pace s creativity and originality that she breathed into the story.Having now finished Begging For It, I can say that it s just as fantastic as the first book It even managed to be intense, heart breaking and so emotional and gritty that I was holding my breath throughout. The story picks up a few weeks after Jonah and Vivienne went their separate ways After Vivienne revealed her secret, Jonah had a hard time dealing with the games they played He attempts to stay away, but the bond they share goes far beyond their dark desires It s than just the sex Somewhere between all the sexy games they played, they managed to fall for one another.I was so relieved that they don t take their connection for granted and resumed their relationship That came with its own complications Jonah s guilt for his dark fantasies and his fear of becoming a monster forces them to redefine their relationship as well as their priorities Yet, the seem to make it work But life rarely goes according to plan and when Jonah becomes a suspect in a serial rapist case, Vivienne must choose if their relationship is worth weathering the storm that is brewing. To make matters worse, Jonah s waste of a space stepfather plots against Jonah, knocking him off balance, making him question his own personality, goodness and worthiness.I loved how in this book, the roles between Jonah and Vivienne were slightly reversed Sure, Jonah was still a strong, intense and impressive man, but this time around, it s Vivienne who offers him strength, support and a shoulder to lean on the same things he offered her not too long ago It makes them equal partners Neither of them is the weak one, neither of them truly dominates the relationship at least not outside the bedroom.Jonah s vulnerability broke my heart into tiny pieces, his dark past proving to be horrific than I thought A past that keeps on bleeding into his present He is such a tortured and broken man, yet so kind and protective I wanted to hug him, to strangle everyone who hurt him and then I wanted to get naughty with him.As for Vivienne, I was so happy to see her tap into her inner strength and to really stand up for herself She stops allowing people to make her feel weak or like a freak She even stands up to Jonah Finally, she owns who she is and what she wants, despite being scared of the reactions.Despite all the ugliness they had to deal with, their chemistry was off the charts and the sex was hot So scorching hot It shouldn t have been considering their pasts, but damn, if it didn t leave me panting. The dynamics between them felt real, honest and raw And the twists left me breathless. This is so much than kink and erotica It s a story about two people who have been broken by their pasts and who find a way to let go and to heal themselves and each other. They conquered their demons as best as they could and chose love over pain and hate. Now the only thing I could wish for is for some characters to get their own stories Maddox, Rebecca, Elise and Geordie Pretty please.5 healing the broken stars.

Book one Asking For It easily earned 4 4.5 stars however book two not so much Not sure it was my tired eyes but there were a few consistency errors in the story Editing doesn t bother me or dissuade me from a book but when I have to go back and re read to make sure I read the story right a couple times then it either has consistency issues or the writing doesn t flow well Neither of which were evident in book 1.Still a unique story but unfortunately there were several unnecessary parts, they don t seem to have been added as filler but they stopped the flow of the story The story was strong enough with the actions of the main characters, some of actions of the background characters were trivial and had no added value to the story.I tend to get disappointed whenever a second installment goes this way for me after a strong book one So much promise and when book two is average or not as good as book one I feel robbed. Both Jonah and Vivienne are survivors in their own right and find each other in book one Both have tons of baggage and issues Vivienne has been in counseling for years where as Jonah has not Both are learning their way through life and relationships however just because Vivienne has been to counseling and is working on herself she is NOT a counselor All of a sudden Vivienne is saying perfect line after perfect line and doling out advise and at times she judges Jonah BIG eye rolling moments for me.

Review on BadAndDirtyBooksAsking For It is one of my top reads from this year I was obsessed and captured by it instantly and when I finished it, I wished I didn t have to wait a couple of months for the sequel It was just phenomenal. So as soon as Begging For It was released I had to purchase it I couldn t wait to get back into Vivienne and Jonah s world.Begging For It picks up right where Asking For It ended Jonah couldn t be in a relationship with Vivienne. She s a rape victim who fantasizes about being attacked and she finds a partner in Jonah, who as well has that fantasy but as the attacker But when Jonah finds out the truth behind Vivienne s fantasies, he has to say stop Because now he feels like a rapist and he also has some deep trauma from his childhood to deal with and that resurfaces as well.Vivienne is such a great heroine She s such a strong and giving person She s there for her friends and puts their needs before her own I love how certain and control she is when Jonah and her play their games There she is no victim but the person in control Her love towards her niece is beautiful and wants so desperately to be in her life, but due to certain circumstances she has to make a choice.Jonah is a very interesting, dark and layered hero He s also a victim of sexual abuse but in a different and horrific way Despite his abuse experience he s a good and caring man But deeply broken He s very attentive towards Vivienne s needs and her limits boundaries when they are discussing how to play their games It all has to come down to her feeling comfortable and in control He also has his own limits and is very vocal about them. This was such an exciting read To see how two deeply traumatized people can find their way back to each other, when so much darkness is surrounding them Their only connection at first was their fantasies and then it turn into so much I was so obsessed and captivated by their past and present stories Their games were so dark and yet deeply erotic I couldn t stop reading Their games turns darker and at no point did my feelings change when it came to Jonah or Vivienne They were both in control in their own way and their love and respect for each other was apparent and strong How they work to find their way back was perfectly paced I loved every moment and nothing felt forced. This was a perfect conclusion to an innovative, different and beautiful story I can t wait to see what Lilah Pace creates next.5 BadAssDirtyAndCaptivatingStars

Jonah and Vivienne s family problems caused Jonah to feel betrayed by Vivienne Jonah and Vivienne must take a hard look at what they have done and if their consensual play is something they can feel comfortable continuing The sexual play scenes are very erotic and exciting to read I love that they take steps to ensure each other remain mentally healthy and question the validity and wisdom of the play and whether it is a healthy choice I also love the psychologist supports the idea that their consensual sex scenes were healthy and find as long as they both enjoyed it I think it s common and accepted now to explore fantasy play and what two consenting adults do is up to them as long as no coercion takes place and the couple has ways to stop play if either becomes uncomfortable.
